Biography:
My research is focused on Agrobacterium rhizogenes, the causal agent of hairy root disease in plants. I am trying to understand how some genes responsible for the bacterial virulence work, the rol genes and genes involved in cytokinin production. Moreover, we are testing Pseudomonas strains for biological control of A. rhizogenes grown under hydroponic conditions.
